have they relaesed an operating system for the 64bit yet, last i heard the one they have released at mo is crap and it doesnt have a lot of drivers.
I have a amd64 whatever chip and as i using windows xp we are only using half of the processor power so the other half is wasted. |

Its still the case that most applications are not yet fully supported for 64bit just yet and also in my opinion IF you know what your about then i would recommend any linux 64bit platform over a microsoft one any day. its a lot faster and cuts a lot of the bullshit out that gets packaged with a windows install.
Either way freaky, I personally wouldnt fully commit myself to the 64bit os just yet any way. theres a new one from microshaft on its way maybe that one will do the job a lot better!! |

I installed the windows 64 bit operationg system about 8 months ago and I did have driver issues. but I decided after all this time to try again and windows update for my version was very big and I only had one problem with a driver and that was quickly sorted by looking on the net. Nvidia have 64 bit drivers and a lot of programs are having 64 bit version now, infact windows 64 bit can still run 32 bit programs! I think that now Steam has set the pace as they realise 64 bit gaming is the way to go many other online gaming companies will follow
Cheers

I am using a AMD athlon 3400+ 64 ........in a way I did buy mine for £12 because I didnt want to download the free version, but basically you can download a trial version which lasts a whopping 6 months!!! from the link below which you would burn to disk but I decided to order mine which was like I say £12 at the time but it took ages to turn up I thought it got lost

tried 4 times to d/l it keeps comin up with a cdkey error message not being able to be retrieved for the d/l, so they must be having trouble with the d/l server.
I ended up paying the money anyway...loll |
