Hello All,
I want to replace my aging MS Optical mouse. I have been looking at the Logitech G5 mouse, wondering if any of you guys had one and would recommed or if not what else could I look at instead.

I got the bluetooth laser jobbie, really comfortable but the goddam connection keeps dropping mid-game so I get totally pwned
Going to go back to my older Logiotech wireless mouse, not laser one, but bloody good anyway. Like fatboy says having a better mouse probably won't make you a better player, some of us are just destined to be bomb-targets for cyrus |

I have a G5 gaming mouse and I only have good things to say about it:
>I like the shape of it, fits comfortably in my hand
>Good button layout (although I would like more than one programmable side button)
>Top buttons that let you adjust the DPI on the fly (I find this particularly useful when I jump into some slow moving turret weapon because I can jack the sensitivity right up allowing me to move at speed, and vice versa when I need to take along shot I can slow it down permitting more precise aiming)
>Adjustable weights (now when I saw this I thought ‘yeah right gimmick’ however it does have the advantage that you can make the mouse really heavy, I run it at maximum weight…seems to make the whole aiming process smoother and more accurate)
As the other posts have stated its not a magic trick…I still die LOADS, however your mouse is an important (and often over looked) tool for interacting with you computer.
I’m not saying that this is the best mouse you can possibly buy, its just my opinion. |

Thanks for the replies guys,
Going to purchase one later today. I realise it won't make me a better player or perform miracles for me, just intrested to see if anyone had anything bad to see before I splashed out the cash.

You could have a look at this one, I was tempted to get this one before I found the G5. Its listed as being ambidextrous, there is a whole range at different prices.

i upgraded to the G7 from my Mx100 and i have to say they're worlds apart, its an amazing mouse! the g5 is just a wired version of the g7 but with the ability to add weights, i doubt you would be disappointed |
