Ok, I know I'm not completely computer literate, but I'm stumped by this problem I've been having while trying to play bf2...
Basically during a game my pc randomly minimises battefield, dropping me back to windows, I can get straight back to the game easily enough but I have had countless deaths in the seconds it takes to get back into bf2, it sometimes happens every few minutes, sometimes not at all...
I have no idea what may be causing this... the only thing i have changed recently is my mouse and keyboard, but i dont see how they can be responsible...
HELP!!! |

I often chuck myself to the desk when by accident I press a combination of keys
which are close to my ingame keys.
Cheers

No its nothing that im doing, eg accidentally pressing the windows hotkey etc...
Its almost as if a program is starting/or trying to start and dropping me to windows... I had a similar problem with AOL spyware protection when it started a system scan... but i now have that disabled and my desktop is clean when i get minimised (as in there are no programs trying to start or running, except those that i have started) |

None of us can realy tell what it might be, as it can be ANYTHING
Go to your battlefield 2 map (where the screenshots are stored)
There is a dump file .DMP Dunno if you cna open it in any way or mabye only EA can do it
So mabye email them with that Dump file o.o |

XP event viewer should tell you - there is something else hidden in XP which tracks everything that you do but I cannot remember where it is hidden - I will think tomorrow when I am not half asleep.

I think I may have inadvertantly solved the problem...
It seems as if somehow my new wireless mouse was responsible, i have reattached my old mouse and had two minimise-free sessions on bf2... so the problem does seem to be solved, well at least i hope it has been. |
