Is there such thing as a BF2 Chat Recorder?

There are several mods available for Unreal Tournament that allow the chat and event log which scrolls across the top of the screen to be saved to text file. Is there anything similar for BF2 which would allow the event data and occasional chat message to be saved?

My main interest in this is that ocasionally I suffer a significant negative score (and in fact I must have done something bad enough last Saturday to initiate a kick vote against me). And I would like to see how I got it. I'm thinking that its AT Mines which blow an enemy tank with team members in the vicinity. If I had an event logger then I would be able to confirm this.

its BF2 wierdness and shoddy coding on behalf of EA. I started a round once with -8. ????! and plenty of times I got team-kills when I was no-where near a team mate.

Consider this: you "bump" a team-mate while running, it does the most insignificant amount of damage (like 1/2 a bar). Later on, they fall off a building, get shot, whatever. Randomly ?!?! the server registers you as the killer!!!! Even worse, on some servers the guy you "killed" is such a BOOOOOON he hits PUNISH FOR TK PUNISH PUNISH as soon as his little fingers can hit "page up"!!

I know its supposed to register "the last one to damage the player", but you know from experience the decision making process in the game is screwy...

Plenty of times I have also been attributed with TKs where Ive been prone, firing my weapon, some idiot with low-health has run across the fire (by the way, this is someone standing right next to me, who knows I have been firing for a few seconds, not like someone in the distance) and guess what? he dies... I am a TKer again...

But, my personal favourite is when you're piloting a chopper, some friendly idiot Jet pilot crashes into you, you "are no more" meaning you killed yourself, and you, yes YOU! get the TK for your gunner and the jet pilot! whahahahahaha lol!!

Ahhhhh, just learn to live with it mate. I doubt there are any text-mods (aside from server logs), and if you did read them, Im sure they would say nothing less than a cryptic "MrTenPercent [team kills] random idiot"

Yeah, I guess I'll just have to put up without knowing the cause of the occasional bizzare points allocation.

Generally, I am aware of how I've TKed - vehicular manslaughter, wayward grenades or occasionaly itchy trigger finger. But (no doubt like everyone else) I am convinced I suffer more TKs than I give out. Wink
