Hi All
Can anyone recomend a good joystick for flying the Planes/heli
As at the moment I cant seem to evade attack.
At the moment I use mouse and w.s.a.d. keys I did try Java'a way by useing w.s.a.d keys and the up, down, left & right Keys with no joy but thx for the tip.
So any pointers towards a good joystick would be welcome.
Thanks in advance
Alan

I use a Saitek Cyborg 3d... its a solid and fully adjustable stick with all the buttons you'll ever need... to be honest I cant fly without it |

Am used to playin Playstation & Xbox games, so i stick to a Joypad ( Saltek P2500). Its 4 years old now. I like the control i get from using the two Thumb sticks, it makes flyin Choppers alot easier. |

ROFL - I use a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO to nose dive frequently into the ground, although I did shoot down Bertii last night (b4 flying into a mountain cos I was so out of control ) ....
So I am gonna stick with mouse/keyboard for choppers and planes, but I fly like a noob so this week I are mainly staying as a good old 'ground pounder' |

lol me too I have this habit of being an ok pilot until sm1 locks on and then I quickly and rapidly attack any imobile object like trees, chimnies and Huge mountains typicaly with the usall resulting death .
Keeping up the practice, i can now fly under a few bridges and not crash |

Hi All
Thanks for all your tips
I did get a "Saitek evo wireless" last weekend, I gave it a go and found it very unresponsive
for £40 so I have just returned it to the store.
I will get another later I think maybe just a bog standard wired one and see how that works out.
Thanks again

Hello Alonzo-69 __I have the evo saitek with all the in game settings on 10 max and find
it great for flying choppers ,but when flying planes i still cant shoot down choppers with
the gun as the nose seems to dip--(maybe one day Redaim will show us noobs
how he does it) |

aye its the speed that causes the nose to dip (lame BF2 flying engine). Does your joystick have a throttle? If so, adjust it so that your plane always flies level (should be around 700kmh), then, just use the S/W keys to speed up in the event of attack, or slow down in the event of a chopper to shoot. w00!!!
Im also crap at flying planes. Thats why I stick to chopper I seem to be able to fly around great, but never be able to shoot anything, and never be able to shake off a lock :S
Any tips for lame old me?

I use the Logitec extreme 3d pro force feedback, you have plug this baby into the mains as it needs a power supply for the force feedback and even though BF2 dose not support force feedback it is great for finding the center point with out any drift at all, leaving you and free to role a cig answer the phone ect. i also found it great for both chopper and jet alike and everyone i know who has got one after i recommended has said their gameplay has gone up by around 20% at the momment i have a 10/1 kill death ratio in the jet so it give you an idea how good it is. if your interested here is a link to take a look :
