This topic is as old as the hills but I would like advice from team mates not lone wolf monkeys and the like on other forums Rolling Eyes

I am 14...... yes 14 Aaaaaaaagh points off Sgt (Should have stayed up till 3 instead of 2 last night Crying or Very sad

) and my question is as expected >>>

I have the M95 and L85 A1, what next ??

Is the DAO jobbie worth using me ESSO tokens (2500) for or do you nice folks recommend a better investment.

Its mainly down to what class you enjoy playing really Wink

I persoanlly enjoy anti-tank and love the DAO for close range fighting Wink

Food for thought, the poll. Why is the DAO associated with AT role? Also the G36 seems very popular but why ?

If the G3 is powerfull, HIGH damage and accuracy, why is this not more popular ??

The G36 its very very accurate on automatic and on semi with a good range and along with using C4 is makes it a very good unlock.

The G3 is powerful and accurate but there is no grenade launcher and the other other thing you get with assult is ONE smoke grenade so even though the unlock is good the class is crap.

I don;t know much about the DAO as i haven't unlocked it. My current favourate unlock is the PKM which is the support unlock pretty good accuratcy at medium range, high damage but as support its hard to run around and can't sprint very far but you do get lots of points for giving ammo.

The G3 for one doesnt have any bonus with it like all the other weapons, I unlocked the G3 as my first unlock and was disapointed to be honest Crying or Very sad

its a shame it didnt have the grenade launcher as its bonus like the standard weapon, I cant understand why not? The way I look at it you have the unlock Medic weapon and the special opps with the bonuse and are just as good even better weapons Wink

so why bother with the G3?

G3 was 1st unlock also, only ever used it once. Its pointless.

OK, "Biff" question number 2 - What bonuses are we talking about? Yes I do feel ignorant. I could assume you mean machine gun AND grenade launcher and that kind of thing or is it something else

I think were talking about point bonuses the assault class has none wareas the suport has a lovely unlock the pkm AND can restore ammo and get loads of points for it the spec opps has a great gun (first one i unlocked) and has c4 to play with along with grenades the anti tank has the dao a fantastic weapon at fairly close to right up close and that along with the anti tank missle makes it a superp unlock for soemone who wants to have all arround strength.The snipers ok as you know it can shoot through cockpits ect (nothing like sniping a driver out of a full blackhawk and watching it fall blow up and killing everyone inside Smile

but takes a while to reload and doesnt allways do an unlock justice.Now to engineer this is an intereting one at the momment im using engineer and sniper to get both of there veteran badges but i have to say and im sure daxx will back me up that the engineer gun should not be overlooked its far more powerfull then the dao its not easy going from a dao to the jackhammer because it has just over half the ammo capacity so you cant spray as much but at close range (defending a flag) one hit to anywere near the head is instant death and ofcourse you have grenades and at mines to guard some of those important spots Finly we come to the the medic unlock i got this second because when you needed alot of points to get a rank up i got the medic unlock because medic was were the points were and i wanted to catch up with mrix, it is a good gun but i deff isnt on par with most of the other its totally inacurate when moving (can be great sometimes seems to have a mind of its own) ofcourse medics can heal themselves heal others for points revive others for more points then a kill so have alot of bonuses more then any other class infact. Im gonna be having this issue in about 2.5k points time. I was 100% sure i wanted the sniper unlock, but now im not too sure....damn you all!!! Twisted Evil

All depends what classes u like playing as, I personally play every class, i love all the unlockable weapons apart from the G3...

G3 is big and heavy and only holds 20 rounds per clip so it always seems to run out when u need it most... yes its powerful but there really is no point unlocking it as the basic Assualt weapons have a much more powerful nade launcher that can kill groups of people and even blow up cars Razz

Unlocked the G36C the other day, nice weapon and great if ur a spec ops guy Smile

very accurate too.

DAO is also a great weapon especially for taking out a bunch of guys laying by the flag!
So great close range weapon but unless ur pretty damn good with the pistol or the AT missiles from long range u might suffer a bit.

Jackhammer is just as good as the DAO except half the ammo which can be a bit of a bitch (its a shame u can't attack people with the wrench lol)
Also great in close combat but long range it suffers, u need to be pretty damn good with a pistol or have someone with u to cover u Smile

PKM is a very nice unlock if u like running about chucking ammo bags Very Happy

its pretty accurate but u really have to lay down and fire it cos standing up is pretty much useless from a distance.

Anyways enough rambling on from me Very Happy

And Cal... the M95 is a nice sniper rifle, i use it quite a bit... only thing is, its hard to get a 1 shot kill in the head unless they're at a nice distance and not really moving much, otherwise i usually have to hit them twice in the torso, or once then finish them off with the pistol from long range lol. But don't let that stop ya m8, if u like the sniper rifle go for it, the only thing i would say is that the US M24 sniper is just as powerful as the unlockable one, i just can't shoot through glass with it.

Yeah I found that too Cyrus... That the M95 is the same as the M21 I mean... I was expecting something fanstastic but was very disapointed...

Oh, but shooting someone out of a cockpit is cool, trouble is have you ever tried hitting something as small as a pilots head as it zooms past at high speed...
If only pilots hovered more... Laughing

I did it the other day and the guy thought his pilot just bailed so he was calling him all names lmao some people are so thick Razz

Ive decided that my next unlock will either be the engineer or anti tank. I played around with the m95 on an unranked server with all the unlocks avaliable. I didn't find it that great.

My two-penneth ..... G36C without a doubt!

The DAO is good up close but the G36C has range, accuracy and power so I use it 99% of the time now.
