PC connected to 26' tv

just to try out a larger screen (what a difference) I connected my pc to my sons 26" tv this afternoon but it wouldnt allways load the maps quickly enough and the server disconnected , the screen res was 1024.768 if that hleps any advice would be brill as Im looking to get a nice 24" monitor soon

nobody got any idea?? runing a 8800gt graphics card , tried turning down the res and the screen kept alternating black then cod4 then black , made it very hard to alter again Laughing

, so im taking it from that the tv doesnt like the lower res , can any one tell me if this would happen with a normal 24" widescreen monitor ??

It could be the spec of the TV rather than the PC? I played BF2142 on our 32" tv and while not as crisp as a proper monitor it was playable and pretty cool to have that much screen space.

My X1950pro handles a 22" weidescreen monitor with no trouble, i would imagine that an 8800 series card could handle the step up to 24" but i am not an expert.

I have a 22" widescreen m8, a 24" should be no problem for you. It's probably the TV but you should be running it at a widescreen resolution.

What do you need a 24" screen for? Ahh i see you have dl'd those images of Sojiro's cock (that draf posted) - unfortunately m8 24" is still not enough to see it - you will need a 40" plasma at least and thats prior to magnification!
