Well actually call of duty "world at war". son_of_rogue picked up an x-box 360 mag yesterday which gives details of the next installment of cod. apparently microsoft releasing 1st trailor of it this weekend on x-box live. seen some screen shots looks good. here's a link http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/17/first-call-of-duty-world-at-war-trailer-to-rolls-onto-xbl/ loads more if you google it. looks the dogs. no mention of pc yet, but we're bound to get it too. release should be later this year.
only just started playing cod 4. hopefully i'll be a bit quicker on the uptake with it this time. |

Well unfortunately COD5 is going back to its root in WWII-
What a flow killer, they finally broke free from the same boring FPS WWII based sh*t like MoH, with fantastic results might i add, and now there going back!?
Lets hope they got something good in the wake that made it worth the step backwards. |

Yea mohaa is easily the creator of the most perfect fps game play hense why cod to today still uses the same IDENTICAL control and feel that mohaa had except for the mohaa lean ofcourse. i think that that gameply will never change cause its just right the way it is. |

My interest in FPS games has certainly be replenished since joining |2e (i only originally joined as i was giving BF2 another go and i really liked the friendly server with great banter towards the public. nice to see this a bit more in our other games) Anyway will definatly be watching oout for this one. |

I'm sure I heard IW planned to stay in modern setting, is this a true sequel or a spin off (whats the difference really?). I have noticed that a different studio is doing it. |

Eh i hope they don't go back to WW2, they should keep it modern or go futuristic so atleast we might see something Halo fanboys can shove up their backsides |

| The game will be set in the Pacific Theater. Also unlike CoD4, the game won't be developed by Infinity Ward, but CoD3 dev Treyarch. The upcoming title will feature co-op — a first for the series. Also, multiplayer will feature vehicles and squad-elements as well. |

Having only ever played a small amount of WW2 era COD/MOH, the setting doesn't really bother me, seems a little quick on the heels of cod4 though? |
