Title says it all.
Here's the article from Bit Tech -
Activision has delayed Call of Duty: Elite for the PC, as well as announced significant changes to the way the service will operate on PC.
Elite is a new multiplayer service for Call of Duty games, expanding the players ability to track stats and analyse levels.
'The issue here is that the PC is an insecure platform,' said Activision's Dan Amrich.
'Without a central, trusted resource for stats, a lot of our competition features become unfair. We can't give away prizes when people can easily cheat their stats. Leaderboards are less fun when a lot of the users are there unfairly.'
A new release date has not been announced for Call of Duty: Elite on PC, though the console versions will continue to launch as planned in line with the release of Modern Warfare 3.
While the console versions of Elite will be subject to a subscription fee however, the service will be free on PCs according to product director Noah Heller.
'Not being able to trust stats is a big problem for our design,' he said. 'Because of this, we had to re-imagine Elite for PC. Elite for PC will be about access to your own stats, or those of your friends. Basically establishing a circle of trust. And because it will have some reduced functionality, it will be free for everyone.'
For those getting it, the good news is it'll be free |

What he is basically saying is "Hackers still own MW2 and we will do nothing about it in MW3 either"
Also from what I read over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Also, PC Elite, when it launches, will be free for all because it’s going to be missing some features. This means you won’t be able to sign up for the DLC subscription, which gets you add-ons for a few less groats. Instead, “PC guys will be able to purchase their DLC content a la carte, just like it has worked before.” But full-whack price, presumably. |

Some of jnr's friends have somehow gotten hold of copies of MW3 several days before release and have been playing it for a few days now, on XBOX360 !!!
I didn't believe it at 1st but they have their pics up on their facebook showing them with the cases !!!
Insecure indeed. |

You could download it since early last week too, just needed to wait for a crack to play it, which was available yesterday I believe. |
