First off, well done Army!

When it comes to game types that side will be very hard as we are not sure what game types we will like until we start playing the maps, I normally like Rush but I was surprised how well conquest run on the beta map which is not normally a game type I like

Its going to be hard to please everyone as it always is no maybe a mixed mode alternating if that`s possible to see what works and does not work?
This way we can see what we like and dislike.

Well I had thought about running a mixed server which would be nice to run through the different game modes. One downside might be that we have a full server playing conquest and then rotate to rush and everyone leaves because of the gametype change.

You can get a hugely popular server running a certain game type / niche but it will not appeal to |2es-members.
Its all depends what you personally want to achieve.
I honestly do not beleive I would like to play Rush only, or Conquest only and that will be most definitely a split between members of any community.
You will also have members wishing to play hardcore and softcore.

Good man Army. For me the ideal initial setup would be a mix of all. But I just did a check, and the diff game modes have a different player count limit. So this wouldn't work. Conquest would be 64 players, then just to a 'Diffuse' game and 54 players get kicked as this is only 5v5 (this would be ace for a bit of |2es v |2es sometime).
From the site I looked at, it also said 'Rush' is 32 player???? not sure if thats right, if not then switching between rush and conquest would be good. If it's correct, 32 players would be kicked each time, making an unpopular server.
So, if mixed not an option then I'd choose 'conquest' as it would seem it's the only mode to make use of the 70 player sever.
On a side note, if you decide to continue with the server I'd be more than willing to chip in with the cost. Also if you need a late night admin, I'd be willing to help out there too the nights I play.

Ok I somehow have 2 servers...not complaining but been spending almost most of the morning setting them up. One thing I can not change is the server location. The main on is located in UK and the second one in Germany. So for the UK one I have set up a Conquest/Rush rotation and for the Germany server I have set up Domination/Obliteration rotation. I set the Dom/obl to hardcore and the conq/rush is normal...

Yea thats the weird part from gametracker. On the Battelog it shows up as UK, and even on my Rcon tool its showing as UK. So I do not know why its showing up as Sweden on gametracker.

i hate conquest but will play it if its mixed but if it always conquest i am sorry to say i wont be on much i love rush so yea,.,,

as i say as long as its mixed conquest/rush i will be on

ohh and i will have to check out the other server too smiles cya on launch day (might not play with you guys till the weekend work and all that....)

there have been a lot of complaints about the low ticket count on the uk server for rush, not sure if you want to up it as 75 is very low for a 68 man server. Other that that it started very quick this morning, only took about ten minutes.
