Keeping the server?

Post by l2es-ArmyMan » Sat Nov 23, 2013 2:20 am

Ok its almost that time again. As of the 1st of December the payment for the server will be due. So the question of the day is....Do you want to keep the server or not? I know the most of you told me you were willing to pitch in for the server costs. Currently they only billed me for the one server and not the second so I do not know if we will be keeping it or not. So I posted the poll question and once I get enough answers then that will determine how we continue. If we decide to keep the server, then I will post a link where those who want to can contribute to the server. It would be nice if most of you vote by the end of this weekend so I can get everything in order.

Im with brune on this one for reducing the server capacity, maybe going for part way between 32 and 64 would be sufficient enough as past couple of days the server has only had 8 to 12 people on. Also naming it UK Resurrection may help our old regulars realise that we do have a server and then they may come crawling out of the woodwork. I would be more than happy to provide payment to the server, yes it's not the best and most configured one out their but it does the job and that's all that's needed

Cheers

I much prefer 32 player servers, or even less. Then again I never really play Conquest so less than 64 is nice for all the other game modes.

One other thing, if we do continue with a server would it be possible for more of us to have access to the out of game admin side of thing? For example it would be nice to change to another map if the current one is not helping us get the server going! ;)

Ok the vote seems to say we are going to keep the server. At the moment I can not downgrade the server since the bill has already been issued. So I still have to pay the full amount and then I can put in a support ticket to downgrade the server to 32 players if we want. I do not know if I will still be able to keep my discount that I have if I downgrade. Since I preordered the server, they gave me a 20% discount for as long as I keep the server. Currently It costs 47 euros (39 pounds) for the 70 slot server and the 32 man server will cost 30 euros (25 pounds). So I will pay for the server and anyone wanting to contribute can pay what they would like to. Below I have a donation link for paypal. Thanks for all the support.....

It's a definite for me. As for server size I don't mind, just as long as we have one.
I get paid next week and will happily add some funds then.
