BARSTOOLS !!!!!!!
I'm currently getting around 25Mb,
no, wait, I missed the decimal point, its actually 2.5Mb. Not impressed.
Good news is, fibre is coming to me soon, the box is installed at the top of the street. 100Mb is available, but will be lucky to get that as its Fibre To The Cabinet then standard phone line to the house. But distance is less that 100 metres so shouldn't impact too badly.
Will be great to rejoin the 21st century.

so renewed my contract today and i asked a couple of questions

1, is there any thought on increasing upload speeds as we have download speed in 3 figures but upload has only just got in to double

the guy said that the lines can only handle 12 up and that up isnt really a priority as no one really use up i pointed out that 10 years ago no one used up now a small number do and its increasing and that they might wanna get onto that he said yea i have been suggesting it for months

2, if theres any plans on increasing the download top speed again?

he said that bt are about to overtake them offering 300 meg down in one area of the uk there gonna wait to see if there is high demand for more download speed he did point out virgin line can take 500 meg down so if there is a demand for over 300 meg they can do it

3, whats the differance between the 1st superhub (which i have) and the new one

he said the new one is only really better if your wireless if not theres no point as wired is the same in both generations to which i said well i guess i will keep the old one then

all in all brillient custermer service from virgin as i always have i would never really go anywhere else if i am honest
